Writing a book sounds scary, but if you take the time to attempt it yourself, you’ll find that it definitely is. To help one another in the book-writing journey, we the novelists have joined forces to exchange work, offer feedback, and keep each other motivated to write regularly.
There are many fiction workshops on campus, but all focus on short fiction or isolated excerpts. Unlike other groups, we’re in it for the long haul, workshopping 5000 words per member per week!
Novelist Support Group meets weekly, although meeting times shift often. If you’re interested in sharing your novel-in-progress or helping us write ours, email either of the group leads: Sam Giedzinski (samg@umd.edu) or Jazmin Conner (jazminmarie55@gmail.com).
